EMORY JOHNS CREEK WELCOMES DR. TANYA PANDYA

June 2009 –Emory Johns Creek Hospital welcomes Dr. Tanya Pandya to its medical staff. Dr. Pandya, who attended local Duluth High School, returns home after finishing her residency at Emory University. She specializes in Family Medicine with particular interests in Diabetes, Hypertension and Women’s Health. Dr. Pandya was the Chief Resident for Emory University and was selected as the 2008 Resident Physician of the Year for the state of Georgia.

Dr. Pandya also gives back to the community through the Good Samaritan Clinic, Migrant Worker Project, and the Patient Education and Empowering Project at Emory. After receiving a B.S. in Biology from Emory University, she received her M.B.A. from Rockhurst University and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. While her specialty is Family Medicine, Dr. Pandya emphasizes the importance of a healthy life through weight loss, wellness and prevention.  She has joined the Johns Creek office of North Fulton Family Medicine.
